Silent Isle Expansion: A Sister Isle added to our Island Chain

 To my dear Silent Isle Community - 

Another isle location--a sister isle--has just arrived! For awhile I have been looking at ways to get my fiction (specifically my short stories) out into the world and to make (a least a meager) living from my writing. I finally landed on Substack. 

I will continue to host The Silent Isle here at annaurquhart.com, where I will still write blog posts and ponderings as they surface. The sister Silent Isle on Substack is where I will be sharing my creative work - specifically my poetry and short stories. (You'll see my familiar Silent Isle banner at the top.)

There are 2 ways for you to join me at The Silent Isle on Substack:

1. A Free Subscription: just enter your email address and you'll get my poetry and other curated creative work. (It works the same way as when you followed me here on Blogger.)

2. A $5/Month Subscription: sign up for this paid subscription for a few dollars a month (less than a cuppa coffee) and once a month I will send you a new short story I've written that month. You will also be able to comment and interact with me and others on that creative space--if you want. If you just wanna read and go on your way, you can do that, too! My introverted self completely understands. (And, bonus, if you pay the whole year up front, you get 1 month for free!)

For those of you who have been with me on The Silent Isle for awhile, you know that I value creativity and connection, curiosity and community. That is what I'm hoping to continue to foster in both of these spaces.
