I take it you are feeling vengeful aft...Ethan Curry<br />I take it you are feeling vengeful after one day of coming back from thanksgiving break?<br />I enjoyed this a lot, it shows the struggles that an author would go through in using adverbs and adjectives. I can only conclude that the use of adverbs and adjectives goes hand in hand with the subject and tone of the story. Dickens could repeat "it was the" so many times because he was getting a strong point across and almost made the begining of his story a poem. However for much lighter reading and less emotional the use of common adjectives and adverbs seem cliche.
